Permaclub at Hawkridge Homestead
A monthly day of shared farm labour, learning, and food systems practice.
Participants exchange time and care for hands-on knowledge, community, and—during harvest months—a share of farm produce.
Permaculture ethics: People Care · Earth Care
Principles in focus: Observe & interact · Apply self-regulation
The final Permaclub day focuses on closing the season well. Participants will mulch beds, protect perennials, clean tools, and prepare gardens for winter.
We’ll also take time to reflect together—on what worked, what didn’t, and what we learned through shared labour. Rest, closure, and reflection are treated as essential components of sustainable systems.
You’ll leave with: winter garden preparation skills and a grounded understanding of rest as part of productive cycles.
